I think the point is that waiting in a station for days to get ships is really boring. CCP is forcing us to use ALTs because the trade is indeed dead in lower security.

Originally by: Jake Pott soooo, you live in da hood, and every time someone tries to open up a little snack shop, first you rob him at gunpoint, then you smash out his shop windows and grab his wares, then you firebomb his shop.
Now you hafta walk to a better part of town if you want to buy a forty of Colt 45, because nobody will set up shop in your neighborhood? lmao

i wouldn't say that CCP is 'forcing' you. i'd say it's the gatecamping and the NBSIing and all the other stuff.
but, like some other posters have said: get in contact with some people and offer trade exchanges. i'd have no problems with that at all...
Which is all good suggestions, it's just that empire is not controlled regions. A lot has to factor into trade. First of all, you got to get a trader to actually come to low security. If it's a pirate asking for it. Then it looks bad, you know trust no one. It's not like a pirate can just say "I will escort you". What trader will believe the pirate wont shoot them and take the ship/loot. Placing buy orders doesn't mean the items the trader is moving is payed for. Only other way is by courier missions. Even then, traders feel as if there pod will be ransomed.
There are maybe 1 or 2 good ways to get supplies by what CCP wants us to do. All of them are hard in some aspects. Which is good, it's a different style of game play than most games. It's more realistic. However, it's the time it takes to do all of that compared to just using a alt. It's like every pirate is going around what CCP designed for us to use. Which is a reasonable complaint if you ask me.
I don't think it would hurt to establish more systems that both help the buyer and the seller. Where trade is boosted a bit more? I think some of the opinions in here seem to be slamming piracy as if our opinions don't really matter because we are bad.

Really, I think you force yourself to use alts. There is no trade in the Low Sec space because pirates blow up every ship that enters. Maybe if you guys chilled out a little, you might get your goods.
A lack of trade is the logical side effect of piracy.
The thing is, I am for that. I am just 1 pirate of many. So me allowing that will not make a difference. On top of that, noone will go with it being there is a system in place (using alts to get the good) that is better than requesting a no-fire on certain trading corps. That's just me though.
